From color three cut four 3 1/2 inch by 6 1/2 inch rectangles
From color four cut four 3 1/2 inch squares and a 14 by 3 1/2 inch strip
Mark a diagonal line on the reverse of the 3 1/2 inch units.

For one 6 1/2 inch Clay's Choice block you need-
From your background cut four 2 inch squares and a 2 by 8 inch strip
From color three cut four 3 1/2 inch by 2 inch rectangles
From color four cut four 2 inch squares and a 2 by 8 inch strip
Mark a diagonal line on the reverse of the two inch squares.
Place a background square right side down on top of a rectangle, with the diagonal line as shown. Sew on that diagonal line. Trim leaving a 1/4 inch seam allowance. Press the seam allowance towards the color three fabric.
Now sew a color four square on the other end of that same rectangle. Make sure your diagonal line is going in the right direction. Sew on the diagonal line, trim leaving a 1/4 inch seam allowance, and press.
Repeat with the remaining three rectangles.
Next sew right sides together your long inch strips. Cut that strip into 3 1/2 inch segments. (For the 6 1/2 inch clock, cut it in two inch segments)

Sew together each unit as shown on the left, and then sew the four units together as shown on the right. Your Clay's Choice block should measure 12 1/2 inches. (Or 6 1/2)
