Over the last 21 years I have participated in 26 Relay For Life events. All of my pattern money (minus PayPal fees) goes to the American Cancer Society as well as the profit from any quilts that I sell. Also, any FUNd raisers that I have at my retreats go straight to my Relay account. I am not a business, I am a Relayer!
What started out as a get together for some internet friends has lasted over 21 years and the friendships have multiplied a hundredfold. Friends just can't miss their yearly reunion and quilting adventures, not to mention the laughter, shopping and all the fun. As we start our 22nd year and the 61st retreat we're looking forward to even more fun and friendships.
If you are checking in the first day of your retreat, Sunday April 15 for the Spring retreat and Sunday April 22 for the Angels retreat, the retreat does not start until after 2:00 PM. (Anyone coming into the conference room before 2:00 will have to pay a $5 a minute donation to ACS.no joke) Contractually we do not have access until after 1:00 and we would appreciate time to set things up before you arrive. This applies to both retreats. Your room may not be ready until 3:00, please don't ask to get in early!
If you are checking in on any other day you are welcome to join us in the conference room anytime after 11:00 AM. Bring your sewing supplies down and start sewing. You can ask the front desk to let you know when your room is ready before you come down.
As for our "retreat schedule"….. Do you expect me to plan out your whole week for you? Honestly? And if I do, won't you go off and do what you want anyway? After 21 years I know better than to plan anything at all in the day time. However, I will be planning some fun activities for the evenings, so don't make any hot dates. Night time fun starts at 7:15 every night!

This retreat is fully booked Here's an evening schedule for the Spring retreat Monday we'll have a few more quilters joining us and Monday night I'll have some more fun for us. (And you thought we had fun Sunday night…) Don't worry there will be time for sewing when the fun is over. Tuesday night I have a fun game and a light (very light) snack to share with you. Wednesday Of course another game then back to sewing if you want, or the hot tub. Thursday night is Pollyanna night. We have something new to try, and some tricks to liven up the night, so you won't want to miss it. Please bring a wrapped, quilt related gift worth between $10 and $15 for the gift exchange. You do not need to turn your gift in early, keep it in your room until Pollyanna time. And Friday night is time to show off what you've accomplished while you've been retreating. If you got anything done, show us, if it was just a few blocks or a whole quilt, brag about it. (And don't blame me if you didn't get anything done, I gave you every day to do what you wanted.) Saturday ends all the fun, time to pack up and go. We ask that you have all of your belongings out of the conference room by 10AM and out of your room before 11. This retreat is fully booked. Here's an evening schedule for the Angels retreat Sunday night we won't all be here, so we're going to take it easy. I didn't say we weren't doing anything, I just said we're going to take it easy, and we'll play an easy game, another one I learned from my grandson… well sort of. But it's guaranteed fun, even for us older folks. Tuesday night we should have a room full, and I've got a good game for you all.
Yes, sadly Friday is time to check out. Please have your belonging out of the conference room by 10 AM and everyone should be checked out by 11. Please check out at the front desk. (And no, I didn't forget Monday, I just wanted to see if anyone was paying attention.) If you need to use fusibles you MUST use your own iron and pressing mat. No exceptions!
Please mark your sewing tools. Don't think that no one has one like yours; mark your tools so you don't lose them. (I get to keep all unmarked tools.)
Please be considerate of those of us with allergies and do not use perfume.
Each person will get one table space period. I request that you do not pile things on the floor making it difficult for other people to move around your space. You may store stuff under your table, but not in the aisle please.
Please turn your ring tones down so only you can hear them, and that includes texting sounds.
Please take all phone calls out of the conference room.
There is to be no music in the conference room, let's enjoy peaceful conversations without having to shout over someone's music.
And please, absolutely no political discussions in the conference room.

From time to time, photos will be taken of retreaters, finished quilts, in-progress quilts and retreat activities. By participating in a Delaware Quilts Quilters Retreat, each retreater authorizes Delaware Quilts and other participants at Delaware Quilts Quilters Retreats to photograph, videotape or otherwise digitally record or collect your image and likeness and your projects associated with your participation in a Delaware Quilts Quilters Retreat and consents to use of these photos for marketing/promotional purposes.
By making your deposit you are acknowledging that you have read and agree with this policy.
