The Eleventh November Quilters Retreat!
Thursday November 8th through check out Sunday November 11th

There will be one newcomer and a lot of old friends getting together again for a fun weekend this year. So I'm not going to tell you all that usual stuff, when it starts (3:00 Thursday after you check in) what we're going to do when (have a great time all weekend long) and when we're going to eat (all weekend whenever you want, except for the group dinner which will be sometime as a group).

I will tell you that again we have a full house ....err conference room, so what you bring into the conference room will be limited. Please do NOT bring in all your shopping goodies, and keep only what you are actually working on in the conference room, everything else in your sleeping room. Everyone will have their own table except for six people, who volunteered to share tables so more people could fit in the conference room.
And incase you are wondering who is coming, here's a list of the 2007 November Retreaters: Anne, Candy, Carol, Carolyn, Charlotte, Debbie, Denny, Janet, Joanne, Kim, Laurie, Linda, Lynne, Mariann, Marilyn, Michele, Nancy R, Nancy T, Rose and newcomer Spanky.

Candy will be teaching this year, and I think you will all enjoy her project. Below are photos of some of the many quilts that have been made so far using this pattern. You can decide which size you want to make your project, Candy will talk us through a wall hanging size and then we're on our own to finish it.

Here is a message from Candy about our project:
"As you can see by the pictures, borders are varied AND optional!! If you like the Braided Border, I took that from one of Marge's patterns. You can order directly from her. It's a fun, easy, but VERY striking finish to a quilt. For my larger quilt, I used Hour Glass blocks in my border. Still others, used no border at all. The choices are endless. My suggestion is to bring some extra fabric and we'll "play"!! Or wait and find something from one of the many places at retreat! (WOW...a REASON to shop while there!! AWESOME!!)"
