About my Scrappy Happy Road Trip:
We will be traveling from Delaware to Texas to show my scrappy quilts and teach some classes in April 2009. I would love to add more groups to visit on the trip, to meet more quilters and share my love of scrappy quilting.
My trunk show and lecture fee is $250, plus one nights accommodations cost, plus travel cost. I will not be charging mileage because of the distance. I will be charging the guilds what it would cost me to fly, divided by the number of guilds which book. At this time the flight cost to Houston is just over $600. If four groups were to book, the travel cost for each group will be $150. If six book, the travel cost would be $100.
I can not guarantee a travel fee until I have a signed contract from your group. I will guarantee the travel cost when I get a contract. (If your booking is the third signed contact, I will guarantee you that the travel cost will not be more than $200)
I could travel through Maryland, Virginia, Tennessee, North and South Carolina, Georgia, the Florida panhandle, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma on the trip. I will accept bookings in the order they are confirmed, and a confirmed booking is one with a signed contract and small deposit to guarantee my visit. (As I get confirmed contracts I will show my travel route.)
At this time I have two signed contracts, so I am making this trip. This is your chance to see what I have to show you for less than it will cost you at any other time. The divided travel cost greatly reduces my normal fee*. Below is a calendar of my bookings and possible bookings so you can see if I might fit in your schedule. I hope so!
Thanks
Marge

*Example of "normal" travel fee:
Round trip mileage to Knoxville TN is 1238 miles. At the current IRS Standard Mileage Rate (2008 - 58.5 Cents per mile) the travel fee would be $724.23 plus tolls.
If a guild in Knoxville books me on my 2009 trip, and I only had their contract and the two in Texas, the travel fee would be $200 each for the Knoxville and Texas guilds.
